Privacy policy

Updated October 16, 2026

This policy explains how noillirk.org handles information when you visit, play a game, join a room or contact us.

Progress and choices in your browser

The game uses local browser storage for Daily progress, personal bests, recent prompts, sound preferences and multiplayer identity or display name. These records are tied to the browser and device you use. There is no online player account linking them across devices.

The Saved progress panel can download a backup to your device. Clearing this site’s browser data removes locally stored progress, preferences and analytics choices. A temporary room-routing cookie helps send multiplayer requests to the correct room; it can last up to 24 hours. Leaving a room normally clears it.

Answers and multiplayer information

Your submitted answer is sent to this website’s service for scoring. The service keeps records needed to prevent the same accepted submission being counted twice, and accepted answers contribute to aggregate counts by prompt and score. It uses this edition’s answer boards; guesses are not sent to the original publisher’s game services or an AI judge.

When you join a room, the service handles a random client identifier, your chosen display name, room presence, submitted answers, scores, reactions and chat messages. Other participants can see the information shared in that room. A private room can be joined by anyone who has its code.

Room records and score-submission records are stored using Cloudflare Durable Objects. They can survive a service restart. Recent chat history is limited to 60 messages per room and retained match-answer records to 200 matches per room; older entries can be replaced as those limits are reached.

Room expiry and retention

Inactive presence entries expire after about 45 seconds, room seats after about 65 seconds, and inactive visit records after 24 hours. An unused private invite can expire after two minutes; once a private room has been occupied and becomes empty, its invite is removed from room discovery.

Expiry checks run when room requests are handled, rather than as a promise of deletion at an exact second. An expired invite or presence entry does not mean every related stored chat, answer or aggregate record has immediately been erased. Chat and aggregate gameplay records do not currently have a fixed day-based deletion schedule.

Optional Google Analytics

Analytics is off by default. Google Analytics 4 is loaded only if you choose to allow analytics. Declining does not stop you from playing.

When enabled, it measures visits and page views, scrolling, outbound link clicks, play-button use and game-mode selection. Enhanced measurement may also record site-search, supported video and file-download interactions where those features are present, as well as page changes in browser history. This site does not send your typed guesses, room chat, display name or form-entry contents to Google Analytics. Enhanced form tracking is disabled.

Google may use analytics cookies and process standard browser, device and connection information when its service is enabled. The property identifier is G-J5ZEZQ98NG. You can change your choice using the button below; your preference is remembered in this browser. Changing your choice affects future collection, not records already received by Google.

More information is available in Google’s privacy policy.

Hosting and service operation

Cloudflare hosts the website and game services. Like other hosting providers, it receives connection information such as IP addresses and request headers to deliver pages, process requests and operate its infrastructure. The game’s own scoring and room records do not store your IP address. Operational error logging may record a request path and an error message.

Game artwork, fonts and sounds are served from this website. Optional Google Analytics is a separate service and is not loaded until you allow it. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its own data practices.

Email and external links

If you email contact@noillirk.org, your message and contact details are handled through our email services so we can read and respond to it. Keep your message relevant to the request.

Links to Daily or other external websites take you to services with their own privacy practices. This edition does not connect your browser progress to an original-game account.

Your questions and requests

You can clear local records through your browser’s site-data settings and change optional analytics through Analytics preferences. For a question or a request about server-held information, email contact@noillirk.org. Provide the relevant room, display name and approximate time where you can, so we can identify what you mean. We may ask for more context before acting on a request.

This page will be updated if the site’s data practices change.
