Change your guessing instinct
Krillion vs Noillirk: which answer are you trying to find?
Krillion rewards an uncommon answer that still fits the question. Noillirk rewards the familiar choice at the top of its board. The questions may feel related; the answer you want changes.
Play NoillirkThe key difference is common versus rare
In Noillirk, start with an everyday example and ask whether it is the one someone else would name first. In a rare-answer game such as Krillion, that obvious choice is usually the one to think beyond.
That makes the two games different kinds of recall. Noillirk asks you to predict a familiar choice. Krillion asks you to find a less familiar member of a category without leaving the question behind. An unusual answer only helps if it is still accepted.
The name Noillirk is “Krillion” read backward. Daily describes its Noillirk as the idea turned around: common answers climb instead of rare answers diving.
A practical comparison
The Noillirk column describes this website. The Krillion column describes Daily's Krillion Unlimited, whose published rules make the timer and scoring comparison clear. The daily game at krillion.io is a separate destination with its own question sets and features.
| What changes | Noillirk | Krillion Unlimited |
|---|---|---|
| Aim | Find the board's most familiar answer | Find an uncommon accepted answer |
| Direction | Rise on balloons | Dive into the ocean |
| Classic length | Seven prompts | Seven prompts |
| Time per prompt | 15 seconds | 25 seconds |
| Top tier | Sky High, 100 points | One in a Krillion, 100 points |
| A perfect Classic total | 700 points | 700 points |
The equal maximum does not make their boards interchangeable. An answer can be a strong choice in one game and a weak choice in the other. Each site also decides its own answer acceptance.
A lunchbox question shows the switch
On this edition's lunchbox-fruit board, Apple is the first answer and scores 100 points. Banana earns 64 and Pear earns 32. In Noillirk, choosing the familiar first option is the goal.
In Krillion, you would instead look for a less obvious fruit that fits the exact prompt. That is a strategy illustration, not a promised Krillion answer or score: its live game decides whether a particular fruit counts and which tier it reaches.
Keep the restriction in view. An obscure fruit is not automatically a good lunchbox answer, just as the most familiar answer is not automatically first on every Noillirk board.
Choose the kind of challenge you enjoy
Choose Noillirk for familiar answers
If you enjoy guessing what another person might say, the balloon climb gives that instinct a clear target. A first attempt is easy to start: read the question, choose one everyday answer and submit it. Play Noillirk on this site, or read the first-climb guide.
Choose Krillion for a search beyond the obvious
If remembering a less familiar example is the enjoyable part, try the rare-answer direction. Allow time to check the wording before committing; a distinctive choice still needs to answer the question.
Question boards and rooms belong to each edition
Noillirk.org uses 50 curated prompts with fixed editorial boards. Its scores are not measured live-survey percentages. Its questions, Daily selection and multiplayer rooms are separate from Daily's original Noillirk and other game websites.
When comparing a result with a friend, agree on the same website and mode first. A room code from one service will not join a room on another. For exact point values on this site, see the six-tier scoring guide.
Original game references
This comparison draws on Daily's Noillirk rules, Krillion Unlimited rules and creator information. Noillirk's original game, artwork and sound are by Daily; this website has its own boards and rooms.
